I finished a memorial of one of her other Sphynx cats and put this together of another who was recently lost and the best friend who misses their friend...

Sphynx Cat

I will explain again that I started this blog sitting in a dog park for a year!  I was not able to find a cat park so I have fewer kitty pieces.  This recent portrait was a commission.

New Project... and a Wolf!

Question is: do we allow wolves in a Dog Blog?  YEP!  I am in a workshop so I can make my subjects a bit more interesting and yesterday this lovely waterfall needs a wolf.  I featured this and a landscape on my Petrified AiR blog too.

Maggie Mae

Took longer than it should, but this is the dog owned by two of the most generous people on earth, my cousin and his wife!  You know this is the dog for them!

More dogs to come but NEWS!!

Yes, I deserve a poster that says I have been bad at posting my commissions as they come...
BUT I have a new adventure coming up and want to announce my first posting in the blog.
I will be Artist in Residence at the Petrified Forest National Park in May 2017.  Because it is still a month and a half out, I will give a few updated until I hit the road, but hope you will follow along with my new adventure!
My future home....

Two of Sophie

I have done a number of portraits of her mini-schnauzers, and I guess I should know to be heartbroken when I hear from her.  Just days earlier she lost her silver mini, Sophie.  After working with her photos and giving her ideas she felt it took two pieces to capture her personality.
This is a 10x10" watercolor on wrapped canvas.
And to catch that happy smile, a small 7x5" miniature watercolor.

Tiny Gift for a Favor

My boyfriend was the recipient of some VERY needed generosity.  With no real way to pay back, I begged him for a photo of their dog, but I got terrible blurry digital phone pix.
However, it is the feeling and sense of the pet that seemed to win the day.
His report was HUGE gratitude and their daughter hung it in her dorm room... misses the family pet.
TWO GOOD DEEDS!  A great day!
