Another Memorial

It has been an emotional season for me and too many of my pieces are memorials. Makes me very sad. BUT the good news is that the art is always of happy times.

Half Way Cross the World!

We were 14 hours different when I last emailed my new client from Thailand! This is the first of four we are going to do of the family of canines!  I LOVE the internet!

Yellow Lab

I have no idea why, but I keep forgetting to paint a nice yellow labrador retriever.  They are everywhere, sweet, gentle and possibly because of that, I forget!

So here we go!

Molly

Molly is the dog of a good friend.  I say "Hi" every day and she is one of my early volunteers for the pet pix.  I just now got around to painting the first day we met.  SHE was sooooo ready for her close-up!!

Frisbee Racer

This great white Lab was racing around the whole afternoon, completely oblivious to the other dogs. I think there were times, when her accompanying human was preoccupied, that she actually began throwing too.

Riley

I just finished this oil commisson for a birthday.  It is a bit striking to see the difference between and oil and a watercolor!  Not much to comment on, but that Mona Lisa smile is what caught my eye on this lad! 8x10" Oil.

A bit awkward or Charlie the Black Dog pt.2

I am doing so many gifts, I can't actually post them until they are opened!!!

So, this is a safe one.  It is the mature dog memorial I did a week or so ago, Charlie.  They are going to be gifts for his familly.  I am pretty sure they are not reading the blog.... YET!

Memorial for Charlie as a Pup

This is the first of two memorial paintings of Charlie. He passed a short while ago but was the center of his family. This is the first 8x10" memorial, a gift to the brother of my patron.
