Kia the Mini Pup

I was invited to demo at the Fiesta Cluster Dog show this week in Scottsdale Arizona.  This is my little miniature Miniature Schnauzer model Kia.  Apparently she is much older in person.

A Trio Going Abroad!

I just finished three gifts for a client who is taking all three of my next puppies on a trip to Thailand! After things dried out from the flood, they are bound for happy homes (hopefully drier!) The first poodle puppy:

A Birthday Gift

This little puppy was a commission through a show about GOLF! One never knows who one will run into, eh?

A Prize of a Puppy!

I work with Trisong Tibetan Terriers and this little pick of the little is my newest portrait in the hall of champions!

Mom's Neighbor

It is all in the family here. This is my mother's best Summer friend's little dog. A bit of a puppy when they first met, I think it has grown into a much more mannered little thing, but the friendship rose above juvenile rambunction and this is their Christmas gift from her.

GSD Pup

I know, the normal among us call them German Shepherds. I have been hanging with the doggie set too long and am into initials. Saw this baby on Sunday in the dog park. YIPPEE! I did not come home with heat stroke!!

Maltese Pup

Not all the well groomed well behaved dogs at the show are all grown up!  This pup was about as good as a doggy could be, just waiting to get his well earned praise!

This was a scouting trip to a pet store. This Corgi and little Bassett pup took a second out of their frolic to see what the paparazzi were doing and then right back to the brawl!
It is a pastel, 11x14" which sells for $600

Sleepy Puppy Diamond Canvas

This face was resting on a kneecap in a park a few weeks ago. BARELY keeping its eyes open, it was too pooped to pop, but would not give in! Too much fun, even if it is just for looking at!

PS, This is my 150th posting! I am committed for a year! I may slow down next Thanksgiving, but I am still painting puppies!

A Yellow Pup

As cute as the Yellow Lab I did for this commission last week was, this little pup is about as perfect as can be! Heading off across the sea to Thailand soon.

Entrance

Running in the ring, they come in and take over.  This Dachshund stepped in and was sizing up the competition.  Small but definitely mighty.

Sitting Spaniel

On my Cocker quest, I have found a few... mostly the brown sort.  This little one was at a charity event, just being real good and waiting for the fun.

Puppy with Poise

There is something about the teeniest puppies.  They have such confidence and self esteem!  This little one was about as full of oneself as its small container could hold!

Racin' Vizsla

Yup, there are a lot of them out there. Again, I think there are more unusual breeds in my neighborhood than some. Lots of Vizslas frolicking in the grass!

Valentine, the Flying Puppy

There is this galumphing black boxer pup that races around the big kids in the rough-housing side of the dog park. When hit, she rolls and bounces. I know she will grow elegant and graceful, but with the wind in her ears, you sort of wish she would never grow into her paws. I mean, is there anything more fun?

Riley

I just finished this oil commisson for a birthday.  It is a bit striking to see the difference between and oil and a watercolor!  Not much to comment on, but that Mona Lisa smile is what caught my eye on this lad! 8x10" Oil.

My first mini - Milan

I am away from my own computer and can't take photos of what I am working on, but luckily, I have one or two of the others from earlier days to link in.
This gorgeous Weimariner puppy was one of the first dogs from the park I had practiced with. Still in my collection, I just love the sheer doggie joy!
