Two of Sophie

I have done a number of portraits of her mini-schnauzers, and I guess I should know to be heartbroken when I hear from her.  Just days earlier she lost her silver mini, Sophie.  After working with her photos and giving her ideas she felt it took two pieces to capture her personality.
This is a 10x10" watercolor on wrapped canvas.
And to catch that happy smile, a small 7x5" miniature watercolor.

Diesel Memorial

My amazing vet lost Diesel.  He is so famous.  His portrait won a prize and then it graced the cover of the Journal of American Veterinary Medical Association last year and was featured in a group portrait of her gang of well loved pups.  I made two small diamond dogs for her to keep near at home and at the office.

Twister, Radar and Doppler

An early Christmas gift was finished before my trip to Denver in October, these three mini's MUST be a handful but are such total sweeties!

Zelda a mate to Lucky

This client had done a wrapped canvas of their great rescue, Lucky, years ago.  Their newest girl was a very mature, late life rescue and it is a mate to the one of dear Lucky who is no longer with us.

Bud, a Memorial

This little guy was lost less than a month ago.  A new vet office was so kind to help me with an issue so I could not resist bringing back her friend to join them in the office.

Duffy, the Adventurer.

One of a pair of lovely little Shih Tzu.
If Duffy's owner sees this on line, and it looks odd to them, I would appreciate a message at the email in my settings.  Happy to talk with them.

This is NOT a Siamese...

Sam for a Valentine

Just a few more days to stay under wraps, but a great little gift of a long lost friend.  Perfect way to share love.

Joey

Although the reference was two years old, my demonstration for a rescue group was a winner as the model even showed up! 10x10" mighty but smallish.

Maxwell

Another Christmas commission, ready to show in the big world.
Max has white eyelashes, which are perfect for a 15 year old, and fur like cotton candy. Spunky but just a little creaky, this old guy is a workin' dog and great friend to his family.

A couple of Golden Smiles

These lovely blondes were at a park a few years ago and I found them to paint at the Golden Retriever Rescue event last month in Scottsdale. Mostly done, so ready to post!

Loving that Ball

I have been trying (with much effort and low results) to help a charity book featuring a red Golden Retriever. I have been making realistic sketches that really don't suit the format of the book, but I came across one I had completely forgotten!
And boy, did it cheer me up!
