Earlier in the year, I donated a miniature to benefit Miniature Schnauzer rescue groups at the Fiesta Cluster in Scottsdale Arizona.  This lovely face is our winner!

Kia the Mini Pup

I was invited to demo at the Fiesta Cluster Dog show this week in Scottsdale Arizona.  This is my little miniature Miniature Schnauzer model Kia.  Apparently she is much older in person.

Well Loved Boston.

This is another gift to a friend by a friend. Somehow I seem to be a darling of the Boston Terrier set. This old man doesn't have years left, but there is now a great memory to help take his place:

Maltese Pup

Not all the well groomed well behaved dogs at the show are all grown up!  This pup was about as good as a doggy could be, just waiting to get his well earned praise!

Chin Mix Charmer

At my high school reunion, I was thrilled to see a few four legged attendees. This Peke-Chin Mix is one of a pair of great bookends that showed up with a former classmate.

Running Yorkie

This little model, from a dog show, was so perfect, I admit I have three or four great glamor shots of her. I try not to overload a breed so she is being spread out in bits. BUT I have always thought of these dogs as being feather dusters on feet. AM I WRONG??

Stella Mae

A recent attendee at one of my demos, I met Stella and her slave human and immediately saw a star! Because I was going out of town, we got this through in a one day turn around and she finally became the STAR she was meant to be.

Crested Romance

I mean, this little thing looks like the cover of a romance novel. For the little girl whose mommie couldn't afford a real pony, Chinese Crested are the closest things to Unicorns I can imagine. Pure My Little Pony, and housebroken.

Pugganeer!

I swear, Pug owners are the worst for renaming everything with a Pug reference. This little pirate was at a Halloween party a few years ago. Pugs are fashionistas! No dog is happier all dressed up!

Bichon Diamond

I have been seriously promoting my little diamonds. For $85, they are complete... no framing needed, two inches deep and 5" square. Little decorative goodies a little bit different than my usual.
My favorite vet is working with me to do a lot of their rescue dogs and if the adopter wants a painting of the family member before all the love, they can purchase it for a 50% donation to the charity and 50% to me. Nice way to give $42.50 to the gang and have something REALLY nice to show off!

Black Pug

Here is the secret:

When painting black dogs (or cats) start on a piece of black background.  Then add the details!  Not that it saves time, but it is like Michaelangelo said about sculpting a horse.   (I freely translate:) "Just take a block of marble and carve away everything that does NOT look like a horse."

Second Pom

These two girls are best buddies. And SISTERS! The intruder, whom you will meet tomorrow, is sweet and befuddled little newcomer. A man among chicks!

Diva, Definately a Pom

This is the first of two Pomeranians and a Yorkie that are roommates.  My friend house sat and I could not resist painting the these three charges.  (that is what they would call the kids we were supposed to have leared how to baby-sit in Campfire.... does that apply to pets to???)
