Earlier in the year, I donated a miniature to benefit Miniature Schnauzer rescue groups at the Fiesta Cluster in Scottsdale Arizona.  This lovely face is our winner!

Santos IN the Pool

This was Santos' second favorite place.  Not the same pool as referred to in the previous posting.

Tango

Tango is reputed to be one of the most wonderful giant schnauzer on earth.  There is something about the way his whiskers lay on the carpet that makes me believe them!

This dog was so sweet, he deserved two memorials.  This is his favorite hang out, in the chair by the pool.

Roger

This was a good friend of Schultz whose memorial was a few pictures down.  It is a sad holiday season when good friends leave so close together, but at least they can frolic in Pup heaven.

Joey

Although the reference was two years old, my demonstration for a rescue group was a winner as the model even showed up! 10x10" mighty but smallish.

I have had a rash of Giant Schnauzers these days.  One of a trio.

One of my favorite rescue groups is for Giant Schnauzers.  This is one of their happy celebrants!  A great Christmas gift to deliver this weekend.

I give a lot of donations of portraits to charities. This was a winner of a raffle for a Halloween party years ago. Schultz started me on my affair with Giant Schnauzers.

Walter, Not Your Run of the Mill!

Walter is one of four pups rescued from a puppy mill. He is vibrant and out going, and a real cutie! He has a couple of white brothers I have posted earlier, and Pippen, his pal is out and adopted. Read about him HERE.

Brava in Progress

BY GOLLY! I got my slide show to work. I am still painting but MOSTLY done. This is Brava. She is a rescue that had to have a leg amputated. I will post the finished final piece separately but you all need to know is that my 12"x16" oil painting will be a raffle prize to help the Deer Creek Animal Hospital bills and aid the Doberman and Giant Schnauzer rescue groups who found her. More info to follow. Mostly, I'm tickled I got a little movie!!

For any interested, she had her amputation and was a bit down, but it looks like she is eating well and coming around with the help of good doctors and good friends.

Giant

There are more to come, as it is a never ending problem, but this is the latest diamond dog.

Axel, the Spokes-Dog

My Giant Schnauzer rescue is going to be selling prints of Axel, a goofy sweet giant I meet at one of their play days. We are in the process of making prints to benefit the rescue. Drop me a note and I will get you in touch.

A Schnoodle.

This is a second version of little Pippin. I gave the first version to the rescue vet, and forgot to take a photo. It is a regular mini portrait, but the face, is worth painting twice! If I get a chance, you may see the other. I swear, I paint to keep you all interested in the blog and when I forget, I often wonder where exactly I left my wits!

Leroy - Little White Schanuzer, needs a home.

This years favorite Rescue is the Giant Schnauzers. These are a great big teddy bear of a dog, and their people are very generous. No matter what size (lots of minis end up here) and no matter how much schauzer... they take them in.

Mini-Scnauzer

I had a great weekend with a charity gang from Giant Schnauzer rescue. The minis and giants seem to have an affinity for each other. This fellow was snapped at the pre-holiday event last year and I felt the desire to honor the little guys as well as the larger Giant I am in the middle of painting for a later post.
