Just because it seems trendy, I thought I needed to show a little more abstract style too!

Ms Liberty (again)
Sometimes a dog needs a lot of love. I have painted Libby a couple of times. More human, less undaunted... are dogs human?

Two Police Dogs - Memorial
I got a note from Boston, from a wife of a K-9 officer. She wanted to give him a portrait of his two favorite partners as a Christmas tribute.

Shadow
I either missed it or looked at my reference so long I THOUGHT I had painted this beautiful dog. I met Shadow's owner in the park today and mentioned I had a great painting of his dog! So, since I can't find it, here is another... we will keep checking!

Saturday was the wonderful event (how often do you get serenaded by a lady in a gown playing piano and a German Shepherd singing along??) honoring the Friends of Animal Care and Control.

GSD Pup
I know, the normal among us call them German Shepherds. I have been hanging with the doggie set too long and am into initials. Saw this baby on Sunday in the dog park. YIPPEE! I did not come home with heat stroke!!

Jaeger
This is one of two pieces I did. There was something in the animal that I did not quite get in the portrait, so I re-did it. The owner couldn't make up her mind... so she took them both!

Old Shep
I just saw this old guy, patiently sitting, waiting for the children to finish playing and then go home. I am a sucker for memorials of old dogs, but I am always happier when a client orders the painting BEFORE it is sick, BEFORE it is on its last legs. A sweet and happy retiree like this, is a joy.

Shepherd Mix
My old dog was the best! Ginger was a Shepherd/Collie mix. Right size, right intelligence, just right dog. This mix I met in the park is a little darker around the mouth but has my old dogs physique.

More Shepherds and Throwing Thingies
I have a lot of the usual head shots, the classic standing shots, but I love my runners!

Oil in progress
Sorry gang! I got tied up in the middle of a commission and found out, after showing a few progress shots, that the poor kid was put down during the commission. I am not done but got a bit distracted. This is the face of the sweety when I found out it was going to be a memorial, not just a portrait.

GSD with a Tennis Ball
Since my brother's German Shepherd was the last one I had time for, I figure we need another good GSD. At play with the regular gang at the dog park.

Santa Dog
Jackie is a noble German Shepherd who sat last year in this elegant collar, in the snow, in Colorado, as if waiting to see Santa. My brother's Christmas gift, NFS
