I am back in action.... the season is coming so I am trying to catch up.   This was an anonymous dog that I painted on my first Mesa Second Friday art fair, in downtown of my new home. 

And the season of gifting is coming.... time to order up.

Shadow

I either missed it or looked at my reference so long I THOUGHT I had painted this beautiful dog. I met Shadow's owner in the park today and mentioned I had a great painting of his dog! So, since I can't find it, here is another... we will keep checking!

Ann's Old Dog

It always seems that my clients double up. This is the owner of the cute little Cock-a-poo from earlier this year. She had me immortalize her old dog from and old black and white photo. They were obviously a great couple.

Little Black Boxer Pup

Back at the first of the year, this was one of my first runners! She has apparently slowed down and learned to walk like a big boy. But one of my favorites at the park. I believe her name is Valentine.

A Real Treasure

This is Treasure.  A Giant Schnauzer who left the world two nights ago.  Her owner had asked a week earlier about a portrait and while we discussed photos, they decided it was time to end the illness that was slowlyt aking her energy away.

When I heard the news, I started it the night before last and finished it on Tuesday morning.  I am happy they will have this memory, even if it is only a memory.

Soulful Fellow

I have had a photo of this Akita for a few years.   A major painting never done, but I came across this great expression.  And the challenge of doing a black dog.  Just a lot of fun and the joy of painting a "person" in fur - 5x7".
