Sparring

This piece is 11" x 22" on heavy watercolor paper in pastels. The technique is one I will be teaching in a local workshop, so I did a doggie demo for the blog! Watercolor is painted on first to lay in interesting colors on which pastels are drawn. The texture of the watercolor paper makes for sparkling color combinations and I love the richness of pastel.
