More dogs to come but NEWS!!

Yes, I deserve a poster that says I have been bad at posting my commissions as they come...

BUT I have a new adventure coming up and want to announce my first posting in the blog.

I will be Artist in Residence at the Petrified Forest National Park in May 2017.  Because it is still a month and a half out, I will give a few updated until I hit the road, but hope you will follow along with my new adventure!

Priorities

A change of pace.  

This piece was an entry to the Mountain Oyster Club show in Tucson Arizona.  Dog patiently waits for the old cowboy to light up the smoke with the all by his feet... just ready.  

Riding Pride

Another horse portrait which was painted the Mountain Oyster Club show this year.  

It is an unusual oil painting, in that the canvas I used was actually denim.  I think it is about as Western as you can get!  

Reilly and Buster

A mixed cultural couple - Puggle and Pom/Yorkie - showing how diversity is the BEST!  In human or dogs.  This was an early birthday gift.  Mom and dad met in the dog park because these two fell in love first!  Awwww!

Ricky

This horse has such amazing personality!  Henrich is his real name, but Ricky is how sweet he is!!

Another that is awaiting payment.  If you happen to see him, let me know....there is unfinished business.

Chili

More of those ENORMOUS dogs with hard feet.  Okay I am going to be sneaking in more of my western portraits.  Anything with eyeballs these days.  This is the second of four in a family I have done.  Well, it is the second of the SECOND.  A terrible accident befell the original (earlier in the blog) and this is the redo.  Although the client understood the first one was not my problem, that the work was done and the destruction their fault, there seems to still be some issues with compensation.  That aside, this is a wonderful horse and I don't hold it against him.
